Return Policy Adjustments Due to Logistical Challenges

Due to the logistical complexities of returning items to our base in Libreville, including the long travel time from our home in Lamberene to Libreville and the constraints imposed by DHL's shipping policies, we have adjusted our return policy as follows:

  • Limited Returns: Given the challenges and costs associated with returns, we can only accept returns for items that are defective or significantly not as described. We request detailed photos and a description of the issue within 7 days of receipt to qualify for a return authorization.
  • Return Process: For approved returns, we will provide detailed instructions on how to proceed. This might be in the form of asking a future participant to take it with him to our place. Due to the size restrictions and high costs of shipping with DHL, items like harps cannot be send via DHL and must be brought back by another person visiting our place and we will evaluate each return request on a case-by-case basis if it does fit inside the DHL limited boxes, to determine the most feasible solution.
  • Return Costs: Please note that return shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer due to the high expenses involved. We recommend that customers carefully consider this policy before making a purchase.
  • Extended Communication Period: Understanding the potential for delays in communication due to our location, we extend the period for initiating return requests to 7 days from receipt of the item. This allows ample time for you to assess the item and communicate any concerns.

Exchanges and Refunds

  • For approved returns, we will endeavor to provide exchanges for items of equal value, subject to availability. If an exchange is not possible, a refund will be issued to the original payment method.
  • We appreciate your understanding that due to the unique nature of our products and the logistical challenges we face, this adjusted policy helps us continue offering these special items to a global audience while maintaining the sustainability of our business.

Iboga Retreat Refund Policy

This Refund Policy ("Policy") governs the terms under which participants ("Participants") who have registered for the iboga retreat ("Retreat") conducted in Gabon are eligible for refunds. The Retreat is an eight-day spiritual and cultural experience requiring thoughtful commitment from all Participants.

Prepayment and Full Payment

Participation in the Retreat necessitates a prepayment amounting to fifty percent (50%) of the total fee ("Prepayment") to secure a place. The outstanding balance, culminating in the full payment (100%), must be settled prior to the commencement of the initiation segment of the Retreat.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation Within One Month: In the event of cancellation by a Participant within one month prior to the scheduled start of the Retreat, the Prepayment shall be forfeited. However, exceptions for a full refund or the option to hold the Prepayment for a subsequent initiation date may be granted under unforeseen circumstances such as severe illness or death in the family that preclude the Participant's ability to travel to Gabon. Adequate documentation may be required to substantiate such claims. Do make sure your VISA is valid as we had people unable to enter Gabon because they had no valid VISA. In this case we do have to consider the incurred costs of the initiation.
  • Cancellation Beyond One Month: Cancellations made more than one month prior to the Retreat's commencement are eligible for a full refund of the Prepayment.

VISA Issues and Responsibility

In the event that a Participant's entry to Gabon is denied due to an invalid VISA, errors made during the VISA application process (such as incorrect dates), or any related issues at border control denying entry into Gabon, Mama Aline shall not be held responsible. The Participant shall cover any incurred costs related to the preparation of the ceremony in Gabon. These costs will either be subtracted from the Prepayment or the Prepayment may be postponed to another initiation date, at the discretion of mama Aline.

Refunds After Commencement

Once the Retreat has commenced, refunds are generally not provided. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis for Participants who are unable to continue due to illness or other unforeseen significant circumstances that necessitate cessation of participation. Each case will be evaluated individually, taking into account the incurred costs of the initiation that must be covered. Adequate documentation and a detailed explanation of the circumstances will be required to process such requests.

Process and Timeframe

Eligible refunds, as determined by the above conditions, will be processed within a reasonable timeframe, typically not exceeding thirty (30) days from the date of approval of the refund request.

Contact and Communication

Participants wishing to request a refund must contact mama Aline or papa Jean Claud through whatsapp, providing a detailed account of the reasons for the refund request along with any relevant documentation.

This Policy is subject to changes, which shall be communicated to all registered Participants. By making the Prepayment, Participants acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth in this Policy.
