Mama Aline / Iboga Retreat Schedule
Dry season
The dry season in central Gabon is in between July and September. This is the best time to visit and participate in a retreat as it is the coolest period of the year (averaging 24 degrees) and there are few mosquitoes.
Transitional season
The transitional period is in between December and Februari and the month June. It is occationally raining and the average temperature is 26 degrees.
Now during this part of the year you find a lot more mosquitoes and Furu's, however
we have implemented many steps to drastically reduce the mosquito issue, such as a very effective mosquito trap and lemon grass all around the buildings.
There are also 9 XXXL mosquito nets in the village, protecting the sleeping quarters and a large sitting place outside and inside the temple when you lay down for a retreat or healing. But there is only so much you can do to avoid the Furu's and mosquitoes, so this season can be tricky.
June is the best month during this transitional period. You can read more about this in the section Safety. Januari is reserved for Retreat Guru visitors, however you have to apply via their website if you like to join in januari.

Wet season
Now the wet season is in between March and May plus the month October and November. They are very hot, peaking above 30 degrees and full of mosquitoes and Furu's. We have implemented many steps to drastically reduce the mosquito quantities, such as a very effective mosquito trap and lemon grass all around the buildings. Now the XXXL mosquito nets will protect you during the night and inside the temple and the air conditioning will keep you cool at night, but it is still tricky to do a full ceremony during these month because there are moments during the ceremony that you are exposed to mosquitoes, such as arriving in Libreville or the trip to our village or walks in the dense rainforest. So yes you can do a ceremony during this period and it surely has its beauty as well as nature is fully active with jungle sounds you will never forget, but it is not as comfortable as in the dry season. Private retreat
There is also the possibility to do a private retreat with mama Aline. Now keep in mind that this is a lot more expensive, but it is possible.

Visiting
Now you do not have to receive a healing or need to participate in an iboga ceremony to visit mama Aline's village. You can just visit her any time of the year. Best is to contact mama Aline as you want to be sure she is there and there is no ceremony given during this time.
Healing
If you want a healing session with mama Aline, this is also possible and can be done in 1 day if needed. These healings are very powerful and can be in the form of mental, physical or spiritual healings. This can be done year-round when no retreat is being given.
